For those of you who don’t already know me, my name is Jillian Glenn, my friends and family call me Jill. And, a lot of people know me as the author and recipe creator of Peanut Butter and Jilly. There is more to me than just low calorie, vegan and gluten free baking. I am a tiny woman (4’11) with a big personality, I am sweet and sassy, bold and fearless. I am of mixed race and incredibly proud of both my African American & Caucasian genetics. I am a follower of Christ, I am a sister, a daughter, a friend, and a new puppy mom. I love all things artistic, any movie or tv show staring Jennifer Aniston, traveling, helping others, going on walks, eating healthy, fashion, writing, reading, and spending time with the people that I love. I believe that the most important thing you can do in life is love and serve others.

When I read that list above, I am pretty humbled by the blessings that I’ve been granted in my life. I have some truly incredible friendships, a huge family (that seems to continue to grow and expand), a career that I’m passionate about, and my health. I haven’t always had the outlook on life that I do now. I was a wife, and am recently separated. I’ve battled anxiety, lacked confidence, and at times felt very lost. My journey hasn’t been the easiest. In fact, I’d say I’ve lived a lot more life than many people my age. But, I am thankful for every single thing that’s ever happened in my life. I’m thankful for the euphoric wins, the heartbreaking losses, and everything in between.

I live my life with my heart on my sleeve, and my past, present, and future is an open book. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve shared stories with friends going through a rough time, or I’ve listened to stories from friends or relatives who I was seeking counsel from. Listening, speaking, and writing, can be therapeutic. And, I thought that if I decided to share more of myself, my journey, and my passions, maybe just one person might feel connected to it. Maybe, it could help someone feeling lost.

So, there it is. Who I am, why I’m here, aside from vegan and gluten free recipes. I’m embarking on a new chapter of my life, and I am excited to share it with you all! My plan is to begin writing about some other topics I am passionate about. Fashion, Faith, Family, Fitness, Health, and Philanthropy. In fact, I’ve started a personal blog – to share more of my passions. Join me there, here, or just in spirit!

Live in love and light, treat others with kindness, eat well, and laugh often!
