Preheat the oven to 425. Prepare the flax eggs in a small bowl by mixing the flax seed meal and hot water together and set aside.

Mix the melted vegan butter, flax eggs, sugar, baking powder, vanilla, almond milk, and salt together. Then, mix in the regular or gluten free all purpose flour until a dough forms.

Use your hands to form the cookie dough into 20 balls and place them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (about 1 1/2 inches apart). Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until they are golden on the bottom and around the edges.

While the cookies are baking, mix the vegan cream cheese, softened vegan butter, and powdered sugar to make the vegan cream cheese frosting.
