Vegan Glazed Donut Ingredients
- Plant-based Milk: We recommend using a plant-based milk like unsweetened almond milk or oat milk!
- Sugar: You can use cane sugar here!
- Vegan Butter: Melted vegan butter adds moisture to create a tender and moist donut.
- Baking Powder & Baking Soda: Baking powder and baking soda will help to make the donuts rise in the oven, making them super fluffy!
- Vanilla: Vanilla extract is added for extra flavor.
- Flour: You can use regular, all-purpose flour or for gluten-free glazed donuts, use a replacement flour like King Arthur Measure for Measure flour.
- Donut Glaze: Mix together some powdered sugar, plant-based milk and vanilla to make an easy homemade donut glaze!
How to Make Vegan Glazed Donuts
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, mix the almond milk, sugar, melted vegan butter, baking powder, baking soda and vanilla. Then, mix in the flour just until combined. Don't over mix! Pour the batter into 12-14 greased silicon donut molds and bake for 25-30 minutes.
Step 2: While the donuts are baking, us a whisk or electric hand mixer to mix the almond milk, powdered sugar and vanilla to make the glaze. Add more almond milk to make the glaze thinner. Allow the donuts to cool for 5-10 minutes before glazing them.
