2cupregular or gluten free all purpose flourIf gluten-free, I recommend King Arthur Measure for Measure gluten-free flour. Please don't substitute any other flour such as almond flour, baking flour, etc.
Vegan Donut Glaze
1cuppowdered sugar
2tablespoonunsweetened almond or oat milk
1teaspoonvanilla
Instructions
Vegan Glazed Donuts
Preheat the oven to 350
In a medium mixing bowl, mix the almond milk, sugar, melted vegan butter, baking powder, baking soda, and vanilla. Then, mix in the flour just until combined. Don't over mix. Pour the batter into 12-14 greased silicon donut molds and bake for 25-30 minutes.
While the donuts are baking, use a whisk or electric hand mixer to mix the almond milk, powdered sugar, and vanilla to make the glaze. Add more almond milk to make the glaze thinner. Allow the donuts to cool for 5-10 minutes before glazing them.
Notes
For a reduced sugar version:If using the reduced sugar version of the recipe, use ¼ a cup of sugar in the batter along with 4 teaspoon of stevia. This will result in a 143 calorie donut. If you’d like to cut back on the sugar more, you can omit the glaze or simply use less of it to drizzle over the donuts. I’ve tried both and they are both super yummy!
