Vegan Maple Donuts Ingredients

Maple Glaze

  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoon almond milk
  • 2 tablespoon melted vegan butter
  • ½ cup powdered sugar or ¼ cup purecane confectioners sugar substitute

Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 1 ¼ cup powdered sugar or ¾ cup purecane confectioners sugar substitute
  • 4 oz vegan cream cheese
  • 6 tablespoon softened vegan butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Toasted Maple Pecans

  • coconut oil spray or vegan butter
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup
  • ½ cup chopped pecans

Instructions

How To Make Vegan Maple Donuts

  • Preheat the oven to 350
  • Mix the almond milk, melted vegan butter, maple syrup, sugar or purecane, vanilla, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together. Then, add the flour and mix until a thick batter is formed.
  • Spoon the batter into 18 silicone donut molds that have been sprayed with nonstick spray. Be careful not to over fill the molds. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the donuts have risen.
  • While the donuts are baking, either whisk together the maple glaze ingredients in a bowl or use an electric hand mixer to mix the vegan cinnamon cream cheese glaze ingredients. I like to microwave my cinnamon cream cheese glaze for about 20 seconds to make the donuts easier to dip in! Once the donuts are done baking, remove them from the molds and allow them to cool for 2 minutes. Dip each donut into the maple glaze before serving.

Maple Pecans for Topping

  • Bring a small skillet greased with coconut oil spray or vegan butter to medium heat, add the pecans and maple syrup and cook for about 2 minutes or until the syrup is bubbling, fragrant, and the pecans are browned. Allow the pecans to cool before sprinkling on top of the vegan maple donuts
