These cheddar bay biscuits are savory, cheesy, and so delicious! They're golden on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and will remind you of a red lobster biscuit! These vegan drop biscuits are also super easy and family friendly!

Cheddar Bay Biscuits Ingredients

  • ½ cup melted regular or vegan butter plus more for brushing on top before serving
  • ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk, oat milk, or regular milk
  • 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cup regular all purpose flour or gluten free all purpose flour If gluten-free, I recommend King Arthur Measure for Measure gluten-free flour. Please don't substitute any other flour such as almond flour, baking flour, etc.
  • 1 cup regular or vegan cheddar cheese shreds
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Cheddar Bay Biscuits Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400
  • Mix melted butter, almond milk, seasonings, and baking powder. Then, mix in your flour just until combined. If using gluten-free flour and the dough seems crumbly, add another 1 tablespoon of melted vegan butter and 1 tablespoon of almond milk and work it into the dough. This is ok! don't over-mix the dough.
  • Fold in cheddar cheese and parsley.
  • Use a tablespoon to drop the biscuits onto a greased baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes until the bottoms of the biscuits are golden and the tops are fluffy. You can broil them for 1 minute at the end to give them more golden brown color. Serve warm, with melted butter brushed on top immediately after removing from the oven.
