  • 3 overripe mashed bananas
  • 1 ½ cup unsweetened oat or almond milk
  • ½ cup melted vegan butter
  • 1 cup maple syrup, coconut sugar, or cane sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 ½ cups regular or gluten-free all purpose flour

Cream Cheese Icing

  • 1 ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 4 oz vegan cream cheese
  • 4 tablespoon softened vegan butter

How To Make The Best Banana Cake

  • Begin by preheating the oven to 350. Grease your baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  • Mash your three overripe bananas in your mixing bowl using a fork. Add the milk, butter, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, baking powder, and baking soda and mix well. Add the flour and mix until a thick batter is formed.
  • Transfer the batter into your lined or greased dish and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes or until the cake is cooked through the center and done around the edges.
  • While the banana sheet cake bakes, make your frosting by mixing the vegan cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar together.
  • Allow the banana cake to cool for a few minutes before frosting, slicing, and serving.
