Ingredients

Halloween Chocolate Donut Holes

  • 1 ¼ cup unsweetened almond or oat milk
  • 8 tablespoon melted vegan butter
  • 1 cup sugar or ⅓ cup purecane sugar-free substitute
  • 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cup regular or gluten free all purpose flour If gluten-free, I recommend King Arthur Measure for Measure. Please don't substitute any other flour such as almond flour, baking flour, etc.
  • cup vegan chocolate chips optional

Vegan Chocolate Frosting

  • 1 cup regular or purecane powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoon almond milk plus more for thinning
  • 1 tablespoon melted vegan butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Halloween Sprinkles

  • I used the vegan sprinkles from fancy sprinkles use code PBJILLY for 15% off

Instructions

Halloween Chocolate Donut Holes

  • Preheat the oven to 350
  • Mix the almond or oat milk, melted vegan butter, cane sugar or purecane sugar substitute, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla, and cocoa powder together until the mixture is smooth. Then, mix in the flour until a batter forms. Be careful not to over-mix the batter or your chocolate donut holes will be dense. Option to fold in cup chocolate chips.
  • Spoon the batter into 60 greased silicone donut hole molds or 16 full sized greased silicone donut molds. Fill each mold about ⅔ to ¾ of the way full. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the donuts have risen and come easily out of the mold. Be careful not to over bake them.
  • While the donuts are baking, mix the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, almond milk, melted vegan butter, and vanilla together to make the vegan chocolate frosting. If the frosting is too thick, add another 1-2 tablespoon of almond milk to it. Sprinkle the tops of the frosted chocolate donut holes with Halloween sprinkles and enjoy!
