Vegan Biscuits Recipe Instructions
Begin by preheating the oven to 350. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together. Then, add the grated or thinly sliced cold butter. Use your hands to work the butter into the flour until a crumbly texture forms. Add the milk and agave and mix until a thick batter forms. If the batter feels dry (refer to photo earlier on the page), then add 1-2 tablespoon more non-dairy milk.
Transfer the vegan biscuit dough onto a floured surface and roll it into a ½ inch thick slab. Add a little more sliced or grated butter evenly over the slab and then fold the dough over. Repeat this step 2-3 more times and then roll the slab until it's ¾ inch thick.
Use a biscuit cutter to cut the vegan biscuit dough into rounds and place them onto your lined baking sheet. Option to brush them with melted vegan butter.
Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes and then broil for 1-2 minutes at the end to give the vegan biscuits a golden color. Enjoy warm with more agave, more butter, gravy, or use them as breakfast sandwiches.
