I started making this Easy Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Dip for my husband during Friday and Saturday college football game days, and it quickly became our go-to appetizer for hosting friends and family. It’s one of those dips that everyone gathers around, and every time I make it, I end up doubling the recipe because the entire dish is scraped clean before halftime. Warm, cheesy, and full of buffalo flavor—this dip has officially become our game-day tradition.

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (regular or plant-based)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (regular or plant-based)
  • ⅔ cup green onions, sliced

How To Make The Best Buffalo Chicken Dip

Step 1: Heat the Base

How To Make Easy Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Dip

  • Preheat the oven to 350.
  • In a medium saucepan, add your cream cheese, ranch dressing, and buffalo sauce and bring the contents to medium-low heat. Stir well and once fully combined, add your shredded chicken, ½ cup mozzarella, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese. Option to add more hot sauce, salt and pepper to taste.
  • Stir well and once the mixture is combined, add it to a small baking dish. Fold in green onions and top with the remaining cheese.
  • Bake in the oven for 25 minutes or until the cheese on top is melted. Enjoy warm and top with more fresh green onions. We serve this with tortilla chips!
