My name is Jillian Glenn (most know me by the name, Jill). I live in Raleigh, North Carolina, with my fiance and dog! Currently, I make a living as a freelancer and specialize in digital marketing, content creation, copywriting, and social media. I was born in North Carolina but have lived in Atlanta, Boston, and Fort Lauderdale. My hobbies include: working out, traveling, crocheting, baking, drawing, writing, reading, and shopping. My passion in life is to help others. That’s why I started my blog. I realized that so many of my friends and family were suffering from illnesses that are directly related to high consumption of meat and dairy. I believe in eating a balanced and healthy diet while still enjoying sweet and savory treats!
I am vegetarian, dairy free, and often gluten free. I follow the 80:20 rule, 80% of my diet is wholesome- fruits, vegetables, whole-grains, and non-meat proteins like nuts, seeds, eggs, and beans.
I try to minimize the processed foods in my diet and look for more whole ingredients. That being said, I have a sweet tooth! Which is why 20% of the time, I enjoy a sweet treat! Once I day, I’ll sink into a delicious blueberry oatmeal muffin, a thick slice of gluten free banana bread, and sometimes I throw caution to the wind and enjoy a vegan cinnamon roll (although this is only every once and while, I try to include whole grains or oats in my desserts). I eat dessert every day because 1. I need it to stay on track and 2. life is short, people.
