How to Make Gluten-Free Focaccia Bread with No Yeast

  1. Preparation: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F.
  2. Dough Formation: In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, water, sugar, baking powder, oregano, garlic powder, and salt. Once mixed, gently fold in the regular or gluten-free flour until a cohesive dough forms.
  3. Shaping & Topping: Transfer your dough to a round baking dish pre-greased with olive oil. If desired, give it a generous drizzle with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Create signature focaccia dimples by gently pressing your fingers into the dough. Garnish with slices of onions, tomatoes, and optional olives.
  4. Baking: Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for approximately 15 minutes or until the bread is fully cooked in its center. For a beautiful golden hue, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  5. Serving: Carve your focaccia into 12 even slices. It's perfect when drizzled with a tad more olive oil, paired with tomato sauce, or even hummus. Whether you use it for sandwiches or as a base for vegan pizzas, this focaccia is a sure winner!
