October 2023 God answered my prayers and I married the man of my dreams. I am truly honored and forever thankful to get to call this man my husband. I never thought I'd be this blessed. I waited so long for him. I don't deserve it, but I hope this post shines light on God's goodness, grace, and reminds everyone to trust His plan.
I want to begin by saying that I am sorry that I am 4 months late posting this article! It's been a true whirlwind since October 2023. While we still want to have a huge wedding with our family and friends in fall of 2024, we just couldn't wait to start our lives together. So, we gathered up our immediate family and had a small elopement at my sister-in-law's home. It's wild to believe we met at this very place just a year ago. God has been so good!
It was a true family affair. My sisters-in-law and bonus mom's did the flowers and table setting. My dad walked me down the aisle. My brother-in-law (who introduced us) officiated the wedding. We wrote our own vows, shared a meal and a piece of cake baked by my new sister, and roasted marshmallows by the fire after the ceremony.
We want to keep this special day ... special ... so we won't be sharing too many images. For those of you who have followed my journey for many years, you know how deeply I longed for this. You know how many nights I prayed. And I hope this reveals to you that God is always listening. He always hears our prayers. And, He will never forsake you. Keep the faith!
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2
