Coffee Cake Banana Bread

Can't decide between banana bread and coffee? Combine these two classic delicious breakfast bakes and make this Vegan Coffee Cake Banana Bread. It's golden, buttery, moist, and delicious! Everyone in your home will love it and no one will guess it's vegan and gluten-free friendly.

Coffee Cake Banana Bread Ingredients

  • Bananas: The key to making the perfect banana bread is to make sure that your bananas are overripe. Brown and spotty bananas are perfect for this vegan coffee cake banana bread.
  • Milk: To keep this coffee cake banana bread vegan, we use non-dairy milk such as unsweetened almond milk or oat milk. If you are not vegan or dairy-free, regular milk will work.
  • Butter: We use melted vegan butter to make sure this vegan coffee cake banana bread is nice and moist. If you are not vegan or dairy-free, regular butter will also work.
  • Brown Sugar: We use light brown sugar to sweeten our banana bread. Brown coconut sugar will also work.
  • Vanilla Extract: For a lovely coffee cake flavor.
  • Baking Powder & Baking Soda: Because our coffee cake banana bread is vegan, we don't use any eggs. Instead, we use baking powder and baking soda to make our cake nice and fluffy.
  • Flour: We use regular or gluten-free all purpose flour in this recipe. To make your loaf gluten-free, we recommend King Arthur Measure for Measure Gluten-Free Flour.
  • Cinnamon: No coffee cake is complete without a generous amount of cinnamon!
