Frequently Asked Questions

How do I store these?

To keep your gingerbread donuts fresh and delicious, follow these storage tips:

Short-Term Storage
Room Temperature: Store the donuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. This keeps them soft and fresh without needing refrigeration.
Long-Term Storage
Refrigeration: For longer storage, place the donuts in an airtight container and refrigerate them for up to 1 week. This helps to maintain their freshness and prevent spoilage.
Freezing
Freeze Unfrosted: If you want to store them for an even longer period, you can freeze the donuts. Place them in a single layer on a baking sheet to freeze individually, then transfer them to an airtight freezer bag or container. They can be frozen for up to 3 months.
Freeze Frosted: If you’ve already frosted the donuts, freeze them in a single layer on a baking sheet first, then transfer to an airtight container or freezer bag. To prevent the frosting from sticking, you might want to place parchment paper between layers.
Thawing
At Room Temperature: To enjoy frozen donuts, thaw them at room temperature for about 1-2 hours.
In the Oven: For a freshly-baked taste, warm the thawed donuts in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes.
