Apple Oatmeal Muffin Ingredients

  • Milk: To keep this delicious apple cinnamon oatmeal muffin recipe vegan-friendly, we use unsweetened oat or almond milk to make our batter.
  • Butter: To keep this recipe dairy-free, we use a little vegan butter in the muffin batter. This provides moisture and a rich mouthwatering flavor.
  • Maple Syrup: A tiny bit of natural maple syrup goes a long way in sweetening our healthy apple oatmeal muffins. Be sure to use 100% pure maple syrup and not pancake syrup.
  • Vanilla Extract: For added flavor.
  • Baking Powder: To help our oatmeal muffins rise.
  • Cinnamon: Pairs perfectly with the apple flavors!
  • Applesauce: We recommend using plain and unsweetened applesauce in this recipe.
  • Quick Oats: Using quick oats instead of old fashioned rolled oats keeps the muffins fluffy and light rather than dense.
  • Oat Flour: Oats are naturally gluten-free. If you are gluten-intolerant, be sure to check your packing and make sure that your oats and oat flour are both made in a certified gluten-free facility. Here is a brand of oat flour I love!
  • Apple Pieces: You may leave the apples unpeeled or peel them before dicing into small ¼ to ⅓ inch pieces.
