Vegan Funfetti Donuts Ingredients
- Milk: To keep these homemade funfetti donuts vegan, we recommend using plain and unsweetened almond milk or oat milk. If you are not vegan or dairy-free, regular milk will work.
- Sugar: We used regular organic cane sugar in these funfetti donuts. Feel free to use regular table sugar or coconut sugar.
- Butter: We used melted vegan butter in these moist funfetti donuts, but if you are not vegan, regular butter will work.
- Baking Powder and Baking Soda: Because these delicious homemade funfetti donuts are egg-free and yeast-free, we use baking powder and baking soda to help them rise and get super fluffy.
- Vanilla Extract and Salt: Vanilla extract and salt add a lovely flavor.
- Flour: We recommend using either regular or gluten-free all purpose flour to make these.
- Rainbow Sprinkles: Any confetti rainbow sprinkles will work.
- Powdered Sugar: Powdered sugar is used to make the simple donut glaze.
How To Make Homemade Funfetti Donuts
Step 1: Begin by preheating the oven and greasing your silicone donut molds. Then, in a medium sized bowl, mix the almond milk, melted vegan butter, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla, and salt together. Add the flour and mix until a smooth batter forms.
Step 2: Fold in the sprinkles and then spoon the batter into the greased donut molds.
Step 3: Bake until golden. While the donuts bake, whisk together the donut glaze ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
Step 4: Allow the donuts to cool and then drizzle the glaze over the top of them.

what can you use if you don't own a donut mold? can you just mold them yourself?
Jillian Glenn says
Hi there! You can make them as muffins or cupcakes 🙂
Delana says
Just made these and they are so yummy and easy. I just got donut molds and it was my first time making baked donuts! I used gluten free all purpose flour and it cam out great. My only problem was that when I mixed in the sprinkles, they lost all of their color and the batter turned brown. Next time I'll try a different brand of sprink;es and make sure I don't over mix. I added some sprinkles on top before baking so I at least still had some color. They still tasted delicious though!
Jillian Glenn says
Hi Delana, I'm so happy that you liked the donuts! Yes I've had that happen before too if I over mix the sprinkles! Be careful to just fold them in once or twice next time and they will be as pretty as they are delicious 🙂
Shelbie says
I’m confused...when I added the melted vegan butter it immediately re solidified in the almond milk. I can’t be the only one to experience this?! I used country crock plant butter, but I imagine it’d be even works with miyokos due to the coconut oil.
Jillian Glenn says
Totally ok! It happens and doesn't change the outcome of the recipe.
WCW says
Hi, what can I use instead of regular cane sugar for the donuts and the glaze?
Thanks!
JillianGlenn says
For the batter you could try coconut sugar or monk fruit sweetener. Alternatively you could use stevia!
Kathy Moore says
Is it ok to use Monkfruit sugar for the donut batter?
JillianGlenn says
I haven’t tried this but it sounds wonderful!
Amee says
Hi. Thanks for the recipe. May I know if I can replace the almond milk with soy milk because of nut allergy,
JillianGlenn says
Hi Amee, soy milk or any other low fat non dairy milk will work 🙂
Danielle says
I just made these & my kids absolutely love them! Was wondering for leftovers if they should be refrigerated since they contain the almond milk?
Thank you!
Jillian says

Ralph @ Bakell Edible Glitter says
These look delicious! Confetti doughnuts are just so fun. The recipe looks way too easy as well. Do you recommend any particular glaze? I want to try making a conventional glaze or even a maple glaze for these doughnuts!
Jillian says
Thank you Ralph! I prefer the glaze that is listed in the recipe! Maple glaze also sounds delicious. Can't wait to hear how you like them!
Beth says
Can you use regular milk for this any any of your other recipes.
Jillian says
Hi Beth, absolutely you can!
